Veterinarian
Dr. Walkenhorst is a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School and Loyola University Chicago. She first joined the Maple family in 2010 working as a receptionist and technician. She graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and went on to practice in North Carolina for a year before returning home to New Orleans. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practioners and Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Walkenhorst enjoys cooking and baking, gardening, yoga, traveling, and is an avid cinephile. She resides in New Orleans with her husband Jack, son Aldo, and their motley crew of rescues, which includes 2 cats, Sal, and Marley, 3 dogs, Rudy, Dolly, Ted; and Olive the pot-bellied pig.
