Adoption

Pet’s we have available for adoption:

Meet Alice!  Her Dad passed away a couple of weeks ago, and this sweet girl finds herself in need of a new loving home.  She is a two year old spayed female domestic short haired kitty.  She is up to date on her vaccines.  She is shy at first, but warms up after she gets to know you.  She has lived in a house with other cats, but we are not sure if she how she is with dogs.  Please give us a call at 504-866-6316 if you have any questions or would like to meet Alice.

Our adoption process

If you are interested in adopting, please call us at 1-800-866-6316 and let us know.  We will schedule a time for you to come to the clinic and spend some one on one time with them so you can see if you feel compatible.

If you determine that you would like to pursue adoption the next step is to fill out an adoption application.  It is important to us that our pet and a prospective parent be a compatible match.  Each applicant must provide a veterinary reference and we pre-screen every applicant.  Please note:  Applicant’s must agree to return the pet to us if the relationship does not work out and if the pet you are interested in adopting is a cat, applicant must certify that the cat will remain an inside cat throughout it’s lifetime.

If your application is approved, payment of an adoption fee and signing of an adoption contract is also required.  The adoption fee varies for each pet.  If you are interested in adopting, please ask a receptionist for additional information and an adoption application.
